SUMMER SOCCER U6-U12 (K - 6th grade)
New for Summer! Partnership between the South Sioux City Soccer Club and the YMCA ; our summer league is broke into appropriate age groups with an emphasis on participation. Learn the game of soccer, get into shape and have fun at the same time.
Division: U6 - U12 (Grades K– 6th grade), boys & girls
(Grade based on grade child is entering in fall 2010)
Registration: June 10- July 2, 2010 - DEADLINE
Program Dates: July 12,2010 - August 4, 2010. Games played on Monday and Wednesday evenings
Fees:
Participant Fee : $50 includes game t-shirt

Shin guards are mandatory to play in the league. No jewelry can be worn during practices and games.

FLAG FOOTBALL

YMCA Flag Football is a recreational program designed for youngsters new to the sport of football as well as those not quite ready for tackle football who want to learn how to play the sport, brush up on the rules, tactics, and skills, improve their game and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Our focus is on football education, participation, and sportsmanship.
Division: Boys and Girls, 1st through 4th grades.
(Grade is based on grade child will be entering in the fall 2010)
Registration: May 10 - July 12, 2010 - DEADLINE
Program Dates: Saturdays August 14, 2010 - October 9,2010. No games will be played on Labor Day Weekend.

YMCA Tackle Football is designed to be a developmental program for the sport of football, teaching skills, rules of the game, and good sportsmanship. Players are moved around within their team's lineup to give them a great overall experience in this fun sport. No score or standings are kept - instead the focus is on learning and fun!
Division: Boys and Girls in 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade

|
The Little Sluggers and Babe Ruth T-Ball players are learning the same basic skills as their older counterparts, but for many this may be their first team type experience. Participants are given basic instruction on hitting off the Tee, fielding and base running, with an emphasis on fun and family involvement.
Little Sluggers: Boys & Girls 4 and 5 years old (in preschool)
Babe Ruth: Boys & Girls Kindergarten & 1st Grade (Current Grade of Spring 2010)
Registration: March 29 - May 17, 2010 - DEADLINE
Program Dates: June 5 - July 24, 2010

5 ON 5 SUMMER BASKETBALL

|
What better way to stay in shape, work on your game and spend time with your friends. Participants should get their teams together and register as teams. Games will be played on Monday and/or Tuesday evenings if necessary. Volunteer team managers will assist during each game time. Practices are optional in this league.
Division: Boys and Girls Grades 2-8
Separate boys & girls divisions for each of the following grades (if participation allows):2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th (Grade is based on current grade in Spring 2010)
Teams: Register by team only. Maximum of 10 players, minimum of 5 players on a team. No guest players allowed.
Registration: March 29 - May 17, 2010 - DEADLINE
Program Dates: June 7 - July 19
Cost: $40 per Participant
Games: Played on Monday evenings (tuesday if needed.) Will consist of two (18) minute continuous halves. Game site is the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA.
Coaches: Fill out the registration form for your team participants.
Uniforms: The Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA youth sports jersey is required for all our sports. The jersey is $15.00 in addition to the league fees.

Indoor soccer is a fast paced game with lots of opportunity for young and experienced players. Team size is limited to allow for the most playing time possible for each participant. This is a game only league, so there are no practices during the week.

Spirit league is the next step in our progressive basketball program. At this level, 6 foot hoops are used for Kindergarten and 8 foot baskets for 1st grade. Emphasis is placed on learning the skills to play at a beginning level.

13th Annual Youth Basketball Tournament: FEBRUARY 12, 2011 - open to all Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA youth basketball league teams grade 2-6.

| The Y reserves the right to cancel any activity based on low enrollment. The activity fee will be refunded or credited in full for this reason. |
| All scheduled activity times, fees, staff may be changed or cancelled at the discretion of the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA staff. |
| A $10 service charge will be charged to individuals dropping from an activity after enrollment. |
| No refunds will be given after the coaches meeting is held. |
